I am a final year student at the Department of Linguistic and Intercultural Studies (TGDS). From my point of view, the exciting journey of research began a year ago, in 2021, by desiring to create this group and, of course, with the invitation of interest from our professor Roula Kitsiou. The truth, however, is that the journey of this incredible willing for “research” began earlier. Specifically, upon entering the university, in a completely new – unexplored – area, I realized that I had to forget what I had learned and start again from the beginning. Or at least, to climb several steps higher. After this realization, I saw university as an incredible experience, with its positives and negatives, through which I would determine the magnifying lenses through which I would see and perceive the world around me. So, early on, I understood that I didn’t want to be limited only to the knowledge of books, I wanted to actively, participate in research processes, to be present in practice and not only in theory. Maybe in this way, I become part of change and to some extent, I succeeded! “Believe it or not, RESEARCH”, a phrase that always captured my interest and it is, now a motivation for me to continue my journey!
