Team History
Allow us to make the official introductions: The core team consists of, of course, our beloved Ms. Kitsiou, the decisive Kalliopi Makedi, the diligent Kerry Synaiti, the creative Anna Katavolada, the well-traveled Daphne Santsak, the methodical Stavroula Katouni, the resourceful Renia Rangelova, and the author of this text, Martha Arvanitidou.
Vision - Goals
Our research group, “Linguistic Landscape Diaries,” was established in 2021 and has since then, and continues to, undertake various activities related to the linguistic landscape and beyond. The VLLRD team approaches the linguistic landscape as a field of social dialogue, (re)production, and negotiation of identities. Our shared vision is linguistic justice: a society where language does not serve as a means of exclusion, but rather as a tool for equality and empowerment.
